New Kent, Virginia

Do you LOVE to golf, kayak, sip wine, and/or place a couple bucks on the ponies? The sign at New Kent Welcome Center sums it up. There are championship golf courses, water sports, award wining wineries and even horse racing seasonally at Colonial Downs right at your doorstep.

Without a doubt, New Kent’s rural character is also an attraction to many who desire a more relaxed quality of life. There are plenty of wide open spaces for hiking, bird watching and enjoying nature. A local farmer’s market is well attended each Saturday during growing season.

Once you are here, you may not want to leave. If you do, Virginia’s capital city, Richmond, and historic Williamsburg are under thirty minutes away with plenty of museums, arts, entertainment, shopping and culinary options.

Viniterra Estates, Brickshire, Patriots Landing and Arbors at New Kent Farms are great family neighborhoods. The Cottages at Viniterra and The Groves at New Kent cater to residents over 55 years old who want an active adult lifestyle.
